Our visit to Mtarfa BSS

Posted by: | November 15, 2008 | No Comment |

On Wednesday 29th October 2008 we visited the Mtarfa Boys Secondary School. The girls in our class went to another school in Rabat. The school we visited was very big. There were lots of activities going on.When we arrived we visited the book fair. Most of us bought some very interesting books. After the book fair we went upstairs to a big room. We were greeted by a very nice teacher and her colleagues. They explained to us about the subjects that we can choose when we go to form one.

They explained that we had to choose a language from Italian, French, Spanish, German and Arabic. Apart from this language we have to choose another subject from Home Economics, Design & Technology and Technical Design.  It will be difficult for us to choose the subjects because they are all interesting and nice. (If you want to know more about these subjects just click on the subjects or check the subjects links)We also visited the Design & Technology workshops and the Home Economics Laboratory where the form 3’s cooked a pizza for us all.  Afterwards we headed again to school. We had so much fun and we learnt a lot of stuff.

On Wednesday 29th November the girls in our class visited the Rabat Girls’ Secondary School. It was a really nice experience at the Rabat Secondary School for us girls.  The guidance teacher, Miss. Sciberras talked to us and to our parents and then she showed us around the school. We had the chance to experience, even if for only a few minutes, an art lesson, a French lesson, a Mathematics lesson, a Computer Studies lesson, a Physics lesson and a P.E lesson.   We also visited a home economics laboratory and the guidance teacher showed us the cooking equipment and explained to us what the various knives were called. Just when we were going to experience our first home economics practical lesson the bus arrived and we had to leave.  It was an informative and interesting day for all students and parents.

Hello everyone, this is the first entry in our blog.  This is the place where the students attending the year 6A at the St. Nicholas College, Dingli Primary School will be able to publish their news, stories and other work such as drawings or pictures.  Apart from this there is also a study links page  where all students can find interesting links and pages to continue with their studies.

I hope that all of you will return to this page to view the work that is being done by the students in our class.  We will try to update the site frequently so that whenever you visit, you will have something new to read, see or work on!!!
